| I-Day arrangements for Udhampur finalised | | | Early Times Report

Various arrangements pertaining to the celebration of Independence Day in Udhampur were finalised at a meeting of district officers of various departments held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Baseer Ahmed khan, here on Monday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, N.I. Parae, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue),. Gurvindeerjeet Singh, ARTO, Distict Youth Services and Sports officer , Executive Engineer PHE, PWD, PDD and District Heads of various departments were present .
It was decided in the meeting that the main function would be held at Government PG Degree College for Boys, Udhampur ground where the VIP would hoist the National flag at 9 am. The contingents drawn from Police, NCC and schools would participate in the march past.
Other arrangements including seating, barricading, drinking water, sanitation, medicare, transportation, security were also discussed and finalized to make the event a grand success. The DDC directed the departments concerned to adopt coordinated approach in ensuring the arrangements pertaining to their respective departments well in advance.
The DDC speaking on the occasion called upon the officers and employees to celebrate the auspicious day with patriotic fervour by making their presence at the venue of main function with their families and friends.
