Coalition committed for development of all three regions: Rattan | | | Early Times REport SAMBA: One day convention of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) was held at Samba under the chairmanship of Magar Ram, Block president in which Rattan Lal Gupta, NC Provincial President, Jammu Province was the Chief Guest and Rashpal Singh Vice Chairman Kissan Welfare and Advisory Board was the Guest of Honour.
In the meeting, Chander Udhayveer Singh highlighted the main problems of the people of border belt, Samba town and hilly areas of the Samba pertaining to recent floods due to the heavy rains, shortage of potable water in Kandi belt, unscheduled power cut, bad conditions of roads etc. Addressing the convention, Rattan Lal Gupta said under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah the coalition Government is committed for the development of all the three regions of the State, especially the border belt and far-flung areas of the State. Showing concern to the prevailing situation in Kashmir, Gupta said that the condition in Valley is improving because the civil society in Kashmir is coming forward with realization that the violence is no solution to any problems. It is only peace which can show the prosperity and development of the State. Addressing the convention, Rashpal Singh said that State Government provide seeds, fertilizer and other agro chemicals in time to the formers of the state and also sanction the loan and other financial assistance to them for the purchase of latest agriculture implements in border to boost the agriculture sector. In the meeting, Bimla Luthra also showed her great concern for the betterment women of the State. Mohinder Gupta Advocate, District President Satwant Dogra also addressed the convention. Others who were present include Dev Raj Kapoor, Kulveer Singh, Ravi Sharma, Veena and Lalita. Major Ram thanked all delegates who participated the convention.
