| Div Com chairs Price Determination Committee meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 10:
Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal, today had a meeting of Price Determination Committee to deliberate upon several cases being processed under Roshni Act in the division.
Deputy Commissioner, M K Dwivedi, ACR, Tehsildars and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The meeting took a comprehensive review of about 45 cases, of which, several were disposed off on the spot while remaining were deferred for different reasons.
The Div Com, who is also the Chairman of the Committee, exhorted upon the officers to be more prompt and vigilant while dealing with cases under Roshni Act to avoid any wrong in the process.
He asked them to adopt multi-pronged strategies to further streamline the functioning of this vital programme being implemented by the government to ensure justice to the needy and deserving.
The meeting also suggested a number of innovative measures to make the scheme more effective and pro-people besides highlighting certain impediments in the smooth execution of the Act.
