| MLA to deposit costs: HC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Aug 13:- Justice Virender Singh of Jammu & Kashmir High Court (Jammu Wing) in an election petition filed by Kamal Verma one of the candidate, imposed cost Rs 5000 on .Ashwani Kumar Sharma MLA Bishnah for allowing the application for setting-aside the ex-parte proceedings which was passed on July 3, 2010.
The court after hearing the parties observed that Advocate Arora has not raised any serious objections in allowing the application of MLA, yet it calls for imposing some costs. It would be most appropriate if the instant application is allowed subject to payment of costs Rs 5000 to be deposited in the Advocate’s welfare fund within two weeks time. Court made it clear that in case costs are not deposited the order allowing the application setting-aside ex-parte proceedings shall be treated no-nest. JNF
