Various Educational Institutes celebrate Independence Day

Jammu , Aug 13: To celebrate 64th Independence day various educational institutes today organized functions at school premises.
Cresent Public School today held a function in the school premises in which the Managing Director of the school, Tasneem Choudhary was the chief guest on the occasion while chairman of the school, Arshad Choudhary presided over the function. The little kids on the occasion presented colorful dances , skit , fancy dress show depicting freedom fighters poems in Hindi and English . Flag hoisting was also done on the occasion.
Independence Day was celebrated great enthusiasm in JK Montessorie school, students of the school on the occasion presented patriotic songs and the fancy dress competition which was the highlight of the function. Political Advisor to Chief Minister was the chief guest on the occasion. Chairperson of the school, Ayub Khan glorified the sacrifices made by the freedom fighter. Chairman of the school Satsih Ahmad also gave his distinguished views about the freedom struggle.
To celebrate the occasion of 64th Independence Day of our country, MIER Group of institutions organized a number of activities. Dr. Arun K. Gupta, Chairman and Dr. Renu Gupta, Director MIER joined in congratulating everyone on Independence Day.
MIER College of Education organized a quiz on the theme ‘India and its Achievements’. The quiz was organized with the aim of creating awareness about India and inculcating a sense of pride among the students of the college. The Chief Guest Dr. Renu Gupta addressed the students and motivated them to step up and work towards making India a powerful country. The event culminated with the singing of the National Anthem. . Monika Marwaha, convener co-curricular activities, conducted the quiz. The students as well as staff members participated enthusiastically.
Model Academy, The Prestigious School of MIER also organized a number of colourful and fun filled activities and cultural programme to celebrate 64th Independence Day at both its B C Road & Residency Road Schools. The function started with a colourful cultural programme in which a number of items were presented on independence day theme. Dr. Adit Gupta congratulated the students and urged the young generation to channelize their energy in a positive way.
, To celebrate the Independence Day the Kidzee Day Boarding school organized drawing and Rakhi making competition programme at Kidzee kathua campus. Inspite of Rakhi making and drawing competition the programme was graced by the colorful cultural presentation full of dance and songs performed by the small kids. In drawing competition the students of 1st to 6th rd standard took part where from 1st to 3rd standard the Nandhani, Satvik and both Jashan and Harman clinched first second, and third position respectively while the Akshay of 4th standard, got 1st rank, Dhanajya of 6th standard stood 2nd rank and Ridham snached the 3rd position. In Rakhi making competition the students of 3rd standard Baby Antika achieved 1st position, Gunjan of 2nd standard stood for second position and Shuvkarman of 5th standard secured his 3rd rank.
Chairperson of the school Anu Dogra & Principal Suman Tiwari while the inaugurating the programme make the students aware about the importance of the celebrations of the days and the sacrifices made by our patriots.
And at last the meritorious students, who revealed remarkable presentation during the drawing and Rakhi making competition, were also honoured by distributing the awards among them to encourage the talents of the students.
Independence Day was celebrated in SOS HGS with great zeal and fervour. Acting Principal, Geeta Bhan hoisted National flag along with staff and students in the school premises. Different cultural items like solo dance, group dance, fancy dress competition, group songs and skits displaying the theme of patriotism were presented by students of all the four houses.
On the occasion students gave speeches on Independence day. The students who excelled in different activities were also awarded certificates and mementoes.
Bachpan a Play way School too celebrated Independence Day with great pump and show.
Yudhvir sethi state secretary BJP was the chief guest and hoisted the National Flag and distributed sweets among children chairperson of Bachpan. Priya sethi was also present on this occasion.
The kids along with the staff sung the national anthem while the staff narrated a short story as how India became independent and became free from the British rulers. Patriotic songs were also sung and the kids danced on these tunes. A wave of patriotism was in the school and one could feel so proud to be an Indian. A magic show was also organized on this occasion principal Amit and all staff member were also present in both branches.
