| PSA collects relief for Leh victims | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 13: R S Pura unit of Progressive Students Association today conducted a relief campaign for flash flood victims of Leh. Later the collected amount was handed over to college Principal JL Bhagat who appreciated the efforts of student.
According to the handout issued here today students in four groups led by PSA college president Dheeraj assembled at college ground and send four teams in class rooms to collect relief. They collected relief from students and staff of college in the donation boxes they had been carried.
Students as well as staff of college joined the cause and donate cash amount. All the four donation boxes were later handed over college Principal JL Bhagat in presence of staff members.
JL Bhagat appreciated the efforts of students and their helping nature.
Meanwhile around 80 students assembled in college ground and two minutes silence was observed to pay tributes to the departed souls of victims.
PSA college president Dheeraj appealed all common masses to express solidarity with the Leh victims and send relief to them. He further maintained that in coming days PSA will conduct same drive in RS Pura market to collect more cash relief for Leh victims. Manik, Deepak, Bhim, Sunil Sharma, Ashish besides other students also participated in the campaign.
