| MHAC School, Nagbani celebrates Van Mahotsava | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 13: MHAC Nagbani celebrated Van Mahotsava in the school premises. Special feature of this year’s Van Mahostava was plantation of a complete avenue of Alstonia and Arjuna to demarcate the play grounds. Many medicinal trees like Arjuna, Teek, Sheesham, Amla were planted.
Chief Guest of the event Preetam Singh, Divisional Forest Officer, Social Forestry Division Jammu inaugurated the plantation drive by planting sapling of Alstonia. Principal of the school Yogesh Khosla also planted a sapling of Alstonia.
After the plantation guests, staff & students attended a function wherein Principal Khosla extended a formal welcome to the chief guest and other dignitaries.
An extempore was organized and the winner speakers highlighted the importance of trees in the modern environs of high pollution and global warming. Winners of the extempore were Paras Sharma, Mayank Kapoor and Kriti Chourasia. Audience also enjoyed group song prepared for the occasion.
