Kranti Dal, NSF protest anti-India sloganeering | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 13: The state unit of Kranti Dal has condemned the incident of “Pro-freedom” slogans by some youth outside Jammu University campus and demanded stern action against them. Talking to the media persons here on Friday, Pritam Sharma, general secretary of Kranti Dal said that those students who took the active part in Jammu University to spread the anti-social activities were not taken to task by the Police, whereas some students belonging to Jammu were caught by the Police. He demanded that PSA should be slapped against them and warned that such activities would not tolerate at any cost. He also demanded proper security to pilgrims of Buddha Amarnath Yatra at Poonch and Maachail Yatra in Kishtwar. Meanwhile, National Secular Forum (NSF), unit of city took strong note of anti-India sloganeering outside Jammu University few days back and staged a protest in Jammu city. Demanding strict action against those involved in the sloganeering incident, the NSF activists described it as “shameful.” The protestors were led by the NSF Jammu City convener, Atul Sharma. The NSF activists also raised pro-nationalist slogans on road. They demanded government should book those arrested in the matter under PSA to give a clear message that elements working at disturbing peace will be dealt sternly. The NSF also questioned the role of Jammu University administration and Vice Chancellor for its attempt to come clean out of the issue by claiming that the incident happened outside that campus.
