| Bhalla lays foundation stone of Rs. 27 lakh community hall | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 13: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Mr. Raman Bhalla on Friday laid foundation stone of a double storey Multipurpose Community Hall at Mohalla Paroli near Ram Lila Ground in Channi Himmat. The building will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 27 lakh by Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Mr. Bhalla asked the executing agency to complete the work by November this year so that the locals can arrange social and religious functions there on nominal charges. He stressed on use of quality material in construction and warned that no compromise in quality will be tolerated.
The Minister said that Coalition Government is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people including drinking water, better roads, healthcare, regular power supply, education and drainage system. He said that Centre Government has provided liberal funding for developing every nook and corner of the state on modern lines and steps are afoot to complete the various projects in time.
The Minister inaugurated the first show of Dogri Movie ‘Maa Ni Mildi’ at Apsara Theatre in Gandhi Nagar and appreciated the efforts of the team to highlight the Dogri language. He said that it is important to connect the youth with the rich Dogri language and culture and families have an imperative role to play in this regard .
