| Penalty imposed to check pilferage of electricity | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 13: In order to check electricity pilferage, Chief Engineer Electric Maintt. & RE Wing inspected various commercial establishment and action was taken against the defaulters.
The commercial establishments under the name & style of RCM Bazar in Qasim Nagar was inspected where it was found that the consumer was using excess load of 1 KW. The Service line was removed and seized and concerned Executive Engineer/Asstt Executive Engineer was asked to lodge an FIR against the defaulter and submit challan in the Court of Mobile Magistrate Electricity immediately. ,
K. C. Auto Mart Pvt Ltd Jammu a commercial establishment at Bye Pass Channi Himmar Jammu was inspected. Wherein the consumer was using 102 KW load instead of sanctioned load of 75 KW. The concerned Executive Engineer was directed to remove the excess load and recover the penalty of Rs.49,900 on account of excess load of 27 KW for three months.
The team also inspected Hotel Ritz Manor (Muskan Hotel Pvt Ltd). Thanger Bye Pass Channi Himmat and the concerned officer was asked to reconcile the meter reading as per the meter schedules and report back the variation immediately.
