Rajouri welcomes Budha Amarnath Yatra, Ramadan

RAJOURI, Aug 13: Hindus and Muslims together welcomed their religious ceremonies today with Muslims celebrating first Friday and Hindus initiating Budha Amarnath Yatra.
As per reports, Budha Amarnath Yatra was formally started from Rajouri today when hundreds of Yatries started sacred journey towards Baba Budha Amarnath Mandir Mandi in Poonch district.
Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra Swagat Committee Rajouri welcomed the Yatries from Jammu and after an impressive programme, they marched towards Poonch. Hundreds of Yatries including Sadhus and religious leaders participated in the march.
From administration side, Deputy Commissioner Ghulam Ahmed Khawaja, Deputy Inspector General of Police SD Singh Jamwal, SSP Rajouri RK Jalla and various other officers were present on the occasion. The administration assured the Yatries all necessary support.
SD Singh Jamwal on the occasion said that police have made proper security arrangements to avoid any untoward incident on way from Rajouri to Poonch and back from Poonch to Rajouri. “We are already alert and nobody will dare to disturb the situation in this area”, he said.
Local Muslims also welcomed Budha Amarnath Yatra and prayed for communal harmony in the region. “This was a big event when Hindus were welcoming Yatra and Muslims were busy in welcoming Ramzan and in both the functions, people of other religions participated which speaks itself about the positive approach of the people of this area to maintain peace and brotherhood”, Mohammad Din, a local religious leader said.

Meanwhile, Muslims also celebrated its first Friday of Ramzan today with all the mosques seemed full of devotees whereas in various mosques, due to heavy rush of people, they perform Salah on the main roads.
As the day is big day for Muslims especially during fasting month of Ramzan, Muslims were seen congratulating each other on the day.
Residents belonging to Hindus and Sikh community have congratulated Muslims for Ramazan and hope that the month will tie forever bond of communal harmony among all the people of all the religions so that peace gets a chance to bloom.
