| KCPS celebrates “India Week” | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 13: “India Week” theme being celebrated by KC Public School celebrated from August 9 culminated today.
The entire Junior School was buzzing with a feeling of patriotism and children could be seen every day wearing rosettes symbolizing the Indian flag and the new symbol of Indian rupee.
During this period, special assemblies, quizzes, special talks, Inter-House group poetry recitation, fancy dress on traditional Indian dresses were presented.
Numerous dance items and enactments were also performed by the children signifying the importance of independence, sacrifice, culture, development and growth.
The whole week, a special sarv-dharma prayer along with a patriotic song was recited in the assembly promoting the feeling of secularism and oneness amongst everyone. On the last day in an emotionally charged atmosphere, the vigour, vitality and vibrancy of the children and staff alike was reflected in folk dances, action songs, puppet show, Dogri play, Dogri Dance etc. performed in the assembly.
