Gang war averted, one held with sharp edged weapon | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 14: Police averted an apparent murderous attack when it arrested a gangster, who along with an accomplice, was on way to eliminate one of his rivals. Satwari police developed information that two youth with sharp edged weapons were on way to eliminate their rival gangsters and accordingly a trap was laid by ICPP Chatha Parmjeet Singh and SHO Satwari Bishnesh Kumar in Chatha area where on suspicious ground police gave halt signal to motorcyclist but instead of applying brake motorcyclist accelerated its speed. Police team also chased them and held one of them with sharp edged weapon. During interrogation of the accused Sukhjinder Singh alias Romy son of Charan Singh resident of Bhour camp ward no 2 Chatha he told police that he along with his associate Kamaldeep Singh alias Nikol was on way to eliminate Sonu Punjabi of Muthi. A case under section 4/25 arms act has been registered against the accused while manhunt has been launched to nab other accused. |
