Shoe hurling on CM a ‘brain-bashing’ incident: Bim | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 16:Describing the hurling of shoe on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah while he was taking ceremonial salute on the occasion of Independence Day as ‘brain-bashing’ incident, Chairman Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Prof Bhim Singh said that it is most unfortunate and against India’s cultural ethos. Prof Singh hoped that the civil society, central leadership as well as Omar himself would realize what should be the next step to restore the lost credibility of Chief Minister’s Office. Prof Bhim Singh reminded the Chief Minister that he had advised him in the All Party Meeting in Delhi convened by the Prime Minister on August 10 that he should resign and work for the welfare of the Kashmiris for sometime. The Panthers Party Chairman advised the CM to demonstrate his courage and wisdom without delay so that further deaths, destruction and hatred against his family may stop. Advising the Jamat leader Sayed Ali Shah Geelani also o leave the Kashmiris alone at least during the holy month of Ramadan with their traditional fasting days, Prof Singh said the new generation shall not forgive any one who misleads them for their personal gains and political-ends. Panthers Party Chief urged Prime Minister to reconstitute Working Group-V by entrusting the responsibility to suggest State-Centre relations afresh if needed. He said that J&K has been enjoying autonomy with sky as a limit for the past six decades and the present prevailing anarchy in J&K is because of the laxity on the part of Central leadership who has always ignored the Ladakh and Jammu regions. Bhim Singh said that re-organisation of the State is the only solution to meet the demand of so-called autonomy or self rule.
