Chib visit GMC, enquires welfare of Ladakh cloudburst victims | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 16: Minister for Medical Education R S Chib accompanied by Principal GMC Jammu, Dr Rajinder Singh, Senior HOD, Dr Aniece Choudhary, Medical Superintendent, GMC, Dr Romesh Gupta, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr Manoj Chalotra visited Government Medical College Hospital, Jammu to enquire about the welfare of the victims, who were injured recently in the most unfortunate natural calamity, which struck the Leh region. Nineteen victims who were admitted on August 10 in Medical College Hospital are mainly suffering from bone and joint injuries for which they were given appropriate treatment in the hospital and are now recuperating in ward No-1 and spinal injury ward. Minister was satisfied with the treatment being provided to the injured patients, which includes free medicines and diet. The Minister appreciated the role of some Ladakhi students who are looking after all these injured victims voluntarily. He spent about one hour in the hospital enquiring the welfare of each and every patient at their respective bed-side and prayed for their quick recovery. |
