| Yateem foundation distributes food grains among widows | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, Aug 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Foundation Unit Bhaderwah today distributed Atta and Rice 10 kg each, one kg sugar, one kg Ghee and one Kg Suji to each beneficiary under Widow Welfare Programme in the premises of Jamai Masjid Bhaderwah.
Each widow was also given one ladies suit donated by an unknown person through this unit. The items were given in addition to their monthly regular house hold kits keeping in view the holy month of Ramdan.
It is pertinent to mention here that Widow Welfare Programme is one of the various welfare programmes run by the unit for the upliftment/benefit of widows, orphans and other weaker sections of the society without distinction of caste, colour and religion.
Moreover the unit is totally dependent on local contribution in the shape of Zakat, donation, sadqat etc paid through bank authority letters, (A/C No. CD-813) and cash. The function was attended by the prominent citizens and donars.
