BSNL customers irked over untoward attitude of customer care unit | Customer can avail BSNL customer care facility on dial of 1500: GM | | Pardeep Singh EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu,Aug 16:Already irked with the services of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the giant name in the cellular market has now started to haunt its customers seeking assistance from its customer care. From untoward to casual attitude and from abusive to verbal clashes, these are the things which one can receive from BSNL customer care unit. The aggrieved customers have no option without switching over to other networks. With million of active customers in the state the Nigam is not committed to withstand its growth and to provide hassle free services to its customers and to cater quality customer care service. The customers here alleged BSNL customer care unit for not cooperating with customers. “The casual attitude of BSNL customer care unit is usual, when you call them for any assistance, the person present there receives you as doing obligation to you and will answer back as per his wishes and on challenging his answers he switches over to verbal clashes or disconnects phone,” said aggrieved customer Karan Singh, adding that yesterday he called customer care for the query of unbilled amount as the message service in the state has been bared, “on asking he said just go to nearby BSNL office, when replied that there is curfew imposed in Kashmir he said we can’t help it,” lamented Singh. Same rage poured from various customers, they alleged that many times they put this case before general manager of company but it was all futile. “Despite of frequent congestion in lines, poor network and many other problems, we remain attached to this network but the untoward attitude of customer care unit is intolerable, they without bothering about gender, age and occupation starts illogical arguing to adhere their responses,” Arif Lone said, adding that if the attitude of BSNL customer care unit remains same they will have to switch over to other service providers in the market. Talking to Early Times, general manager BSNL Jammu, Sandeep Sawarkar said that, customer Care unit is not under their jurisdiction, “customer care unit directly operates from Chandigarh, so I am not empowered to direct them,” said he, adding that they had such complains many times, so for the convenience of customers BSNL is going to start its zonal customer care unit. “For the convenience of customers, we are going to start zonal care unit wherein customers can avail all the service related queries. A full fledged program is in progress to establish strong customer-company relation,” said Sawarkar. For seeking any service related query or to talk to customer care in State, customer has to dial 1500 only, said GM. For the information of customers, BSNL is soon going to advertise it. |
