Dalit Mahasabha condemn BSP statement for Omar's removal | | | Early Times Jammu, Aug 17 : Claiming that National Conference have always worked for upliftment of marginlised and weaker sections of the society, Chairman All J&K Dalit Maha Sabha Jammu Vijay Lochan denounced the statement made by BSP State President Tulsidass Langeh, where he demanded dismissal of Omar Abdullah government. Pointing towards the present situation of BSP in the state, Lochan said Dalit Maha sabha is of firm opinion that BSP Has lost representative character and in 2008 election, people have shown them the door as the BSP has always exploited the poor and down trodden people. “During the last elections BSP distributed tickets only to the capitalists and leaving behind candidates belonging to weaker sections of society”, added Lochan. He said demanding of dismissal of Omar Abdullah Govt. is anti-national and anti-people as at present Omar Abdullah is fighting proxy war waged by Pakistan as well as some political parties rejected by the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The people of J&K has given mandate to coalition Government for six years and it is all certain that coalition Govt. led by Omar Abdullah last for full six years. Secretary AJKMS Simer Dass Kalsi appealed the Dalit Samaj of Jammu & Kashmir to be aware of the exploitation of BSP. He asserted Dalit Samaj cannot forget the revolutionary steps taken by National Conference for the poor and down trodden like giving land to the tiller and free Education, especially granting 8% reservation to schedule castes. Also present during the press conference included K.L.Bhagat Retd.S.P, Shamsunder Basson Retd.Sr.SDE BSNL and Bishen Dass Bhagat.
