IDP organises convention | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, Aug 17: District Committee Internationalist Democratic Party (IDP), Kathua organized a day long general body convention under the presidentship of Ram Murti. While I D Khajuria State President, IDP was chief guest on the occasion, B L Kandley, district secretary, Master Parkash Singh, senior leader, Harbans Lal, state committee member, Chaggar Singh, Rampal Sharma, Karam Chand, Romesh Chander, Santosh Khajuria, President MAS, Anita Kumari, Suresh Kumar, Raj Kumar, Prem Singh were active participants in the deliberations made in the convention. Speaking on the occasion I D Khajuria said being vigilant citizen of soil and upholder of democratic rights we have our serious concerns regarding prevailing situation in Jammu Kashmir, we demand immediate attention of government of India and the State government to prevent further loss of lives of teenagers, youths, elderly men-women in the cycle of violence since two months. We further demand impartial investigations into recent killings of innocents during protests. Khajuria observed that it is now open truth that Jammu Kashmir is a problem since 63 years for which Prime Minister gave prescription of autonomy resulting into a debate on various formulas to resolve the vexed issue. IDP always suggests the resolution should through dialogue with the understanding that it is a human problem. It needs consensual model which honours National prestige of India -Pakistan and fulfills the aspirations of the people of Jammu Kashmir. |
