Bhim urges Guv to convene assembly session | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Aug 17: Chairman, Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Prof Bhim Singh today urged upon Governor NN Vohra to exercise his special power vested in him under J&K Constitution to convene an Emergency Session of J&K Legislative Assembly without any delay to provide an opportunity to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, to let the people of Jammu and Kashmir know about his real situation he has been locked in because of the tug of war between Congress and National Conference. Prof Bhim Singh has suggested to Omar Abdullah to make the best use of his position and recall the circumstances and the compulsions forcing him to quit as a Chief Minister in the interest of peace and the people. Prof Bhim Singh reminded Omar Abdullah that his resignation shall stop further bloodshed and violence in Kashmir as the 'passions' were running high against the NC-Congress government which he has been heading in J&K. Omar Abdullah has every opportunity to tell the world about his contributions and commitment for the development and welfare of the people of J&K. Panthers Party Chief also suggested that Omar Abdullah should expose the busy bodies and his political adversaries within and outside the government who have fueled the flames to ensure Omar's exit from his office. He said that things have gone so far that only Omar's exit from his office can save the Valley from the further deaths and destruction. Prof Bhim Singh earlier in his letter in reply to CM's letter dated 11th July, 2010 had suggested to the Chief Minister to resign from his office so that he shall get relieved from the company of corrupt and tainted ministers in his cabinet. |
