AD allegedly made 30 backdoor appointments | Job scam in CAPD dept Rajouri - I | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Aug 17: In clear violation of rules, Assistant Director, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department Rajouri has reportedly made at least 30 backdoor appointments in the department as Night Chowkidar. It has also been alleged that some appointments have been made in back date. Sources said that Assistant Director of the department has directly issued written orders to these candidates whereas sources said that the department had not advertised these posts. "There were also no interviews", sources said adding that some orders were allegedly issued in the back date by the AD to adjust blue eyed candidates. "AD had issued orders in back date to adjust blue eyed candidates", sources said. Giving evidences, sources said that Mohammad Farooq son of Manzoor Hussain resident of Kote Thanamandi has been appointed Night Chowkidar at Government ration store Doodasanbala vide Assistant Director's order no 144/FSR dated 28-06-2000, Ghulam Murtaza son of Ghulam Ahmed resident of Saj Thanamandi has been appointed as Night Chowkidar in the government ration store Darhal vide AD's Order No 07/FSR dated 21-04-2000. Similarly Shahid Aslam son of Mohammad Aslam resident of Rajdhani tehsil Thanamandi has been appoint in Govt Store Katermal vide order no 43/FSR dated 22-04-2002, Rafat Mehmood son of Abdul Rashid Raina resident of Thanamandi has been appointed as Night Chowkidar in Government Ration Store Fathepur vide order number FSR/1356-57 dated 05-04-2002. Tariq Javed son of Ghulam Nabi Mir R/o Rajdhani has been appointed vide order no FSR/1356-57 dated 5-4-2002 in Thanamandi while Mubashir Riyaz son of Mohd Riaz R/o Rajdhani was appointed vide order No 37/39/AD Rajouri dated 12 04-2001. Sources added that Khem Raj son of LR Sharma R/o Hathal tehsil Sunderbani was appointed vide order number FSR/232-34 dated 06-03-2002, Rajesh Kumar son of Inder Parkash Ward No 10 Rajouri get appoint letter of AD Rajouri vide number 43/FSR dated 22-04-2002. Mohammad Aslam son of Mohammad Akbar R/o Bagla Rajouri and Ravi Kumar son of Surinder Mohan R/o Chatyar are among more than 30 candidates who have get appointment in the Consumer Affair and Public Distribution department. Sources said that though these appointments were made on temporary basis, the department is going to absorb them in permanent capacity. However in these appointments, sources said that AD Rajouri has violated all rules. "No advertisement appeared in any newspaper nor there were any interviews for these posts", a local unemployed youth said demanding action against the AD for adopting picks and chose policy in these appointments. "AD made these appointments according to his wishes and he has violated all norms and regulations", a youth said. Sources said that the department officials might have received hefty amount from the selected candidates and no body dare to investigate the scam in the department. When contacted, Assistant Director, CAPD Rajouri Kewal Krishen admitted that all these appointments were made violating rules. He admitted that there was no advertisement published by the department nor any candidate was interviewed. Kewal Krishen however said that these appointments were made before his posting as AD and he has not appointed a single person among them. "Yes this is violation of rules but you must ask the question from former AD who had issued the orders", he said. |
