38 out of 45 cases settle during Lok Adalat in Poonch | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Poonch, Aug 18: A lok Adalat was conducted today at court complex Poonch under the chairmanship of Brij Mohan Gupta, Chairman District Legal service authority (PrPl. District and Session Judge), Ponch and was assisted by Rajesh Kumar Abrol, CJM Poonch and Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, District Mobile Magistrate Traffic Poonch. During the Lok Adalat, total of 45 cases were taken up, out of which 38 cases were decided through negotiation and conciliation, whereas compounding fee Rs 15,200 was also been realized on the spot. It is pertinent to mention here that all these cases featured criminal challans, traffic challans and maintenance cases under section 488 CRPC. Out of 45 cases 38 has been sttled down with negotiation where as remaining seven cases are pending due to non availability of client associated with case, “now the clients of pending cases have to visit regular courts for their settlement,” said CJM Poonch, RK Abrol. The president Bar Association Poonch, senior members of the Bar association, the members of the prosecution Branch as well as staff of district Legal service authority Poonch were also present there.
