| ‘Appoint local representative as Vice-Chairman Heritage Complex’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 18: A delegation of prominent residents of Panjtirthi area of old city met the State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, during his visit of the historic Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex.
Led by a prominent social activist Karan Singh, the people asked the CM to explain as to why the post of Vice-Chairman of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex has been given to a person who is neither a public representative nor holding any post in the government. Such a person has no accountability towards the public.
They urged upon the Chief Minister that the government should appoint the sitting local representative of Jammu city as the Vice-Chairman of the Complex as the people have direct approach to him and can contribute in developing the historical complex in a more effective way with their suggestions.
Shashi Sapolia, Indresh Singh, Raj Kumar Sharma, Anshuman, Rahul Badyal, Sain dass, Kapil Kumar, Bupeshwar Singh, suresh Bharti, Sourav Sharma, Bua Ditta, Hira Lal Gupta, Rajinder Singh, Satish Mahajan and Pritam Dass were the members of this delegation.
