| Two held with charas in Katra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATRA, Aug 18: Two persons were arrested from the holy township of Katra along with 600 grams of charas this afternoon.
Police sources identified them as Anil Kumar, son of Gurvardhan Lal of Udhampur and Moti Ram, son of Munshi Ram of Kawa, Udhampur.
The charas was wrapped in six maize leaves, the sources added, saying the contraband was seized during routine frisking of passersby in the township.
A case under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPSA) stands registered against them at Katra police station.
Meanwhile, one person was arrested by police from Jhajjar Kotli along with a consignment of eight kilograms of poppy straw.
He was travelling in a Tata Sumo when police laid hands on him, the sources added.
