JAMMU, Aug 19: Interesting bouts in the sub-junior category marked the beginning of two-day 12th State Taekwondo Championship organised by Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here
Young participants displayed great courage and technical know-how in the initial rounds of the sub-junior and junior categories. Over 300 boys and girls are taking part in this state level event.
Earlier, the two-day championship was declared open by former Minister and MLC, Ajay Sadhotra in a well-attended function. Besides office bearers of the Association, a host of other guests and parents of the participants were present in the inaugural function.
Today’s bouts were officated by Vikrant Joshi, Mohd Ali, Arjum Gupta, Rajesh, Amandeep, Arvind, Varinder, Mukta Gupta, Parveen, Safdar Ali, Bhanu Partap and Gurinder Rakwal. Tournament is being conducted under the overall supervision of Atul Pangotra and Varinder Sharma.
