| Shiva, Vineet among winners in snooker | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 19: Shiva Gupta and Vineet Anand among four cueists won their respective matches in snooker event while Karan Gupta and Gautam advance in 9-ball game in the ongoing Ecological Awareness Billiards and Snooker Tournament, here today.
In the first match, Shiva defeated Rahul Mahajan 3-2 in a close contest that lasted for full five frames while Vineet registered a straight frame win over Raj Sharma. Gourav Bali also won his tie against Vikram 3-1.
Meanwhile, in 9-ball event, Karan trounced Vikrant Gupta 3-2 while Gautam defeated Arjan Singh 3-1. Kamal Kishore registered a 3-2 win over Neelu Sharma.
This tournament is being organized by J&K Rural Sports Club in collaboration with International Pool Vegas and The Gym, Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu and Social Forestry Division Jammu with an aim to educate the youth about preservation of environment.
