ISAP, NIAEM kick starts training programme | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Aug 21: Indian Society of Agribusiness Professional (ISAP), in partnership with National Institute of Agriculture Extension Management (NIAEM), Hyderabad, today started training course on Agri-clinics and Agri-business Centers (ACABC) scheme for fresh batch comprising 32 trainees. The two months training programme was inaugurated by Deputy General Manager, NABARD, GH Khidir, at its regional office Jammu. The programme aims to encourage agriculture and allied sector graduates, to set up Agri-business centers for employment generation and to provide quality extension services to the farmers. In the inaugural function Dy GM, emphasized the importance of this training programme for strengthening the existing extension network in the process of technology transfer in the field of agriculture. GH Khidir indicated that trainees while preparing detailed project reports (DPR’s) should keep in mind that activity of the proposed enterprise not having only commercial objective, but also extension components in the scheme. Earlier, Project Officer ACAB (ISAP), MS Nargal, briefed out the importance and details of this scheme.
