JDU expresses concern over threat to minorities in Valley | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Aug 21: Janta Dal United (JDU), today convened a party meeting to discuss latest political scenario of the state. During meeting safety of the Sikh minorities in Kashmir was stressed upon. The party spokes person said that, the way Union Home Minister, P Chidambaram has tabled the situation in Rajya Sabha is to be reviewed. He said that security to the minorities is the top priority of the government, so that 60,000 Sikh communities and other minority’s safety should be taken care of. The need of the hour is that centre government has to take stern decision so that 89-90s would not be repeated. “It is prime duty of center and state government to provide security to the minorities, which stands for secular and democratic voice of India,” said he. He said that the local leadership of the valley has to be responsible in making a cordial atmosphere, so that every person can live in peace. |
