| Bilal, Shubam excel on opening day of Speed Ball meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 21: Bilal Ahmed Raina and Shubam Chahal emerged winners in open and under-12 year categories on the opening day of the two-day state level Speed Ball Championship at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
Gurmahar Singh bagged second place in open event, followed by Masroor Malik and Ganeshwar Singh, who finished third and four respectively.
Similarly, in under-12 category, Shubam Chahal topped while Yaseer, Sachin and Tanveer bagged second, third and fourth place respectively.
Earlier, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla today declared open the two-day championship wherein near 400 players are taking part in different age categories. Minister encouraged the participants and appreciated the organizers for providing the young boys and girls a platform to excel.
