Jaitley warns Manmohan against Kashmir autonomy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT NEW DELHI, Aug 21: The Bharatiya Janata Party has decried Centre for what it called to be its policy of placating separatists in Jammu and Kashmir. It warned Manmohan Singh Government against toying with the idea of granting autonomy to the border State and the party cautioned that this could lead to separation of J&K from the country. The BJP leader in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley said here today in a talk to mark what the party called as Save Kashmir Day that the militants have been encouraging mob violence after their terror tactics turned out to be unfashionable and the world started abhorring it. He said that both the Centre and State Government had failed in curbing separatism. He criticised Prime Minister for offering sops to buy peace in the troubled State and made an impassioned plea for fighting out separatist tendencies instead of playing with kids gloves in the face of a determined bid to challenge the integrity and sovereignty of the country. |
