HM sympathiser held with 7 SIMs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 21: A Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) sympathiser was today arrested by police at Marmat in Doda along with seven SIMs of different companies which were to be handed over by him to a commander of the outfit. He was identified as Atiq Ullah (26), son of Rehmatullah. Police sources said his elder brother Irfan, who was a top HM militant, was killed by security forces in a gunbattle in Marmat forests about two years ago. After brother's killing, Atiq became active as HM's overground worker, the sources added. Sources said he had been supplying eatables, ration and other items of daily use to HM militants. Acting on a tip-off that he was in possession of seven SIMs, Marmat police post incharge, Sub-Inspector Nazir Ahmad raided his house today and recovered the SIMs. He was also taken into custody and whisked away to the police post. During interrogation, he told police that the SIMs were to be handed over to HM commander Javed Qureshi. Five of the SIMs were of Aircel and two of Airtel. While the Aircel SIMs bore Nos -- 7298070098, 9858596262, 8803121946, 7298094892, 7298125528, the Airtel SIMs bore Nos -- 9797753918 and 9622357332.Two micro chips, one rubber stamp of executive engineer, R&B, Doda, and four voter cards were also recovered from him, the sources added. Sources said he obtained SIMs on the basis of the documents of different people he had stolen from the block divisional office, Doda, few days ago.His sustained interrogation was on. Police had registered a case against him under different sections.
