| JP World lifts overall trophy in Speed Ball | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, August 22: Winning highest medals, JP World School emerged overall champion in the two-day state level Sports Speed Ball Championship which concluded today with the holding of prize distribution function at Indoor Complex, M A Stadium, here.
Overall runners-up trophy went to SD Tara Puri Public School while Tiny Tots School remained third.
Earlier, in girls’ solo open final, Monika beat Rhea Tickoo to bag first place. Sadia Malika remained third. The boys’ solo open title went to Ashutosh, who beat Sahil in the final. Bhagwan Dass finished third.
The mixed doubles gold was clinched by the pair of Sankait Nanda and Manika Sharma who beat Sahil and Sadika in the final. Rinku and Ashima remained third to bag bronze.
In the finals and prize distribution function, chairman of the J&K Sports Speed Ball Association, Indira Bhalla was chief guest, who gave away winners and runners-up trophies.
Prominent among those present were Pooja Malhotra, VS Mastana, Rajan Sharma, Ashok Singh and Sunny Nanda.
