| Snooker: Title holder Anshul enters quarters | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, August 22: Defending champion, Anshul Mahajan today made it into the quarterfinals of the ongoing 2nd Ecological Awareness Snooker Tournament at International Pool Club, here.
In the pre-quarterfinals, Anshul defeated Sahib Pal Singh in straight easy frames 77-15, 58-25.
Meanwhile, in 9-ball game, Himanshu Phual today reached the final beating Karan Gupta 3-1 in the first semi-final. The second semi-final shall be played tomorrow between Aseem Gupta and Gaurav Bali.
In pool event, six cueists have qualified for the quarterfinal stages winning the preliminary rounds. Those, who have made it into the last eight stages are Himanshu Phual, Arun Singh Jamwal, Aseem Gupta, Vineet Anand, Gaurav Bali and Shiva Gupta.
