| Jammu judoka wins silver in nationals | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, August 22: Young Abhishek Choudhary of Jammu has won a silver medal in the recently held Sub-junior National Judo Championship at Durg in Chattisgarh.
Abhishek, who contested in plus 50 kg weight category, played superbly throughout and lost only in the final bout.
“Only Abhishek could win a medal this time. Other judokas too made great efforts but could not make it to the victory box,” said manager of the team and joint secretary of the J&K Judo Association, Vikas Gupta.
In all, 10 boys and seven girls represented Jammu and Kashmir in this sub-junior championship.
