The members demanded that R&B Minister should immediately tender his resignation from the Cabinet and also as a MLA on moral grounds and in case he does not do so the Chief Minister should sack him. Chief Minister should also issue strict instructions to the police to ensure that all the guilty parents and their wards are arrested and brought to book for this fraud being perpetrated on the people of the state. The University authorities should also blacklist these students and ensure that they are barred from all future professional examinations. JSM appreciated the alertness of invigilators overseeing the entrance test and swiftness of police to nab the frauds, Keeping in view the sensitivity of the matter JSM also appealed Governor N N Vohra, to immediately intervene into the matter. Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has expressed its deep concern over the alleged involvement of cabinet Minister GM Saroori besides an ex-Minister in taking the service of imposters for entrance test of their wards. Speaking on behalf of JKNPP, its spokesman Hari Chand Jalmeria has demanded immediate removal of GM Saroori from state cabinet. Jalmeria appreciated the Jammu University authorities for bringing to light this racket. Involvement of the Ministers and Ex-ministers in the racket of impersonation speaks volumes of corruption, illegalities and mal-administration in Jammu and Kashmir under the Cong-NC regime. What has come to light may be just the tip of ice berg, JKNPP leader said adding that a high powered enquiry by the High Court or Supreme Court Judge is necessary so that the bigger racket may exposed. At the first instance the Minister must go if semblance to rule of law and the constitution is to be observed, maintained Jalmeria. If the Minister does not resign or Chief Minister does not remove him, Jalmeria appealed to the Governor of the State to dismiss the said Minister so that fair inquiry is made possible against him.
