| Aid to Pak could be misused against India: Chaman | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 22:
Raising eye-brows over the eagerness of New Delhi leadership for providing 50 lakh dollars aid for victims of floods in Pakistan, the leader of the BJP Legislature Party, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta observed that wisdom demands to ensure that this aid does not fall in wrong hands and is misused by the elements hostile to India itself.
Moreover, it is surprising that the Congress leaders are more worried to the problems of Pakistan than taking care of the people in the home itself.
This was stated by Prof Gupta after having tour of various areas of Jammu West Assembly constituency and its adjoining places which have been badly affected due to excessive rains and flash floods during the past some days.
He assured the suffering people of these localities and others that all out efforts would be made to mobilize the concerned agencies for taking up the repair works and provide relief to the sufferers.
Lashing upon the ruling Congress leadership at the Centre, the BJP leader said that while lakhs of families in the country are facing the fury of floods and other calamities, they are not much worried about the plight of this suffering lot in the country. On the contrary they seem to be quite enthusiastic to provide massive aid of over three thousand crores for the flood victims in Pakistan. Perhaps they think that by such postures, the friendship and good will of Pakistan would be earned.
