EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 22:
Sangarsh in a meeting held at Jammu University demanded a high level inquiry into the incidents of fake examinees and pro-azadi slogans by the students of Acharay Shri Chander College of medical Sciences (ASCOMS) which has become a hub of anti-national and anti-social activities.
Issuing the official press statement General Secretary of the movement Suresh Kumar opined that there seems to be nexus of anti-social elements which is in close connections with the separatists groups of valley whose only motive is to disturb the harmony of this particular region and the recent propagandas that took place in JU with the support of students hailing from ASCOMS, is a clear cut indication that some thing is cooking in ASCOMS which in no way good for the sovereignty and integrity of the state as well nation.
He asked that the college which was established for the minority community of the state has become a hub of the majority community with such persons whose intentions towards India are suspicious.
He further opined that the arrest of fake examinees in an MBBS/BDS entrance test on Saturday and the Pro-Azadi slogans by the students of the ASCOMS few days back shows the mode of education and training, the administration of the college is imparting to them. How is it possible that the students of a private college raised anti-India slogans and the administration of the college till date kept its mouth shut instead of taking stern action against those who were involved in such a shameless incident? He asked that whether the administration is generating doctors for the future or the anti-social elements which in nearby future shall create hurdles in the progress of the nation and shall pollute the harmony of the state?
Suresh appealed to the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah and Health and Medical Minister of the state to setup a judicial inquiry over the functioning of the college and to take stern action against those who are misguiding the people of this particular region.
