| Chhari Mubarak reaches Budha Amarnath | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Aug 22:
With religious fervor, Chhari Mubarak of Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra today reached its destination with Muslims gave warm welcome to it.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had deputed local MLA Ajaz Jan on special helicopter to receive the Yatra.
Chhari Mubarak was taken out from Dashnami Akhara Poonch on foot towards Mandir Mandi where Havan and Pooja of Chhari Mubarak was held.
In the congregation people from all walks of life come and pay tributes to the sacred mace after bhajan, kirtan and prevachans (speech) of the Mahant of the Akhara.
Chhari Mubarak was given guard of honour at the gate of the Akhara. The Mahant Ji was carried in a palki by the devotees alongwith the sacred mace.
Thousands of devotees and Sadhus accompany the procession this year. A number of stalls were erected for welcoming the Chhari Mubarak and there were arrangements of free langer and other eatable items on way to Mandi. The chhari Mubarak was taken to the main shrine in between the traditional rituals followed by the Aarti of Lord Shiva.
At Mandi, Yatra was given warm welcome by the Muslims giving a message of communal brotherhood. Yatries were garlanded with flowers at Mandi.
Local MLA on the occasion said that the Yatra has become symbol of love and peace in the area. “We treat these Yatries as our guest so that they return from the area with a good impression”, he said.
