Coalition Govt is committed to uplift rural areas: Rattan | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU AUG 22: Provincial President National Conference Jammu Province, Rattan Lal Gupta addressed a meeting at Kotepunoo, border area of Hiranagar and Barwal in Kathua on Sunday. He was accompanied by Kashmir Singh former MLC and other senior leaders of National Conference. The meeting was convened by local leaders of the areas to apprise the Provincial President about their problems. During the course of discussion the local leaders discussed various problems like shortage of potable water, unscheduled power cuts, conditions of roads damages due to the heavy rains and flood and price rise of essential commodities. While addressing public at Kotepunoo and Barwal, Gupta said Coalition Government headed by Omar Abdullah is committed to uplift the rural, poor, backwards classes and remote areas of the State. Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has provided funds under various schemes to develop the State, he added. Referring to the issue raised by some parents of the wards who are und training in Indria Gandhi Government Dental College Jammu, Gupta assured that their problems is already in the active consideration of the State Government and has been taken up with Dental Council of India by concerned authorities. He appealed to the concerned minister to expedite the matter so that no confusion is among the minds of the parents. Referring to the situation in Kashmir Valley, Gupta said that government is dealing with the people in a very sensitive manner so that no loss of lives is caused to the civilian and young children’s who are on the street due to false and fabricated propaganda of the anti social elements.
