| College Teachers call on MoS Hr Edu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 22:
The presidium of the College Teachers Association, Jammu Wing led by the President, Dr Sanjay Verma, today met Minister of State (MoS) for Higher Education Dr Manohar Lal. The association raised various issues such, as release of arrears of 6th pay commission, enhancement of remuneration for evaluation, enhancement of age of superannuation, post of Professors in Colleges, housing colony for College Teachers, restoration of University posts for College Teachers etc. After a through discussion, the Association informed the Minister the financial implication regarding the pay arrears and the discrimination for the last two to three years regarding the rates of evaluation of Jammu University with that of Kashmir University.
The Association impressed upon the MOS regarding the recent letter issued by Ministry of Human Resource to all Chief Secretaries of State Govt. regarding the implementation of UGC pay commission in Toto which includes the enhancement of age of superannuation. They also demanded that there should be separate colony for them. The Minister gave a patient hearing to the genuine demands and assured that he will look personally into the demands which are related to finance.
The delegation includes Dr Sudhanshu Sharma, Dr Sunil Gupta, Dr Satinder Kour, Dr Anil Ganjoo, Prof Narayan Dutt etc.
