| Two LeT ultras surrender in Doda | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU,Aug 22: A district commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and his deputy today surrendered along with arms and ammunition before police at Doda.
They were identified as LeT commander Ghulam Mohammad alias Abu Rafeequllah and Mohammad Asif. They surrendered before IGP Ashok Gupta along with one AK rifle, its three magazines, 90 rounds, 2 pistols and two Chinese grenades in a simple function held at Doda.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said, "We welcome their surrender. They will now restart their life."
Rafeequllah, who had joined militancy in 2004, said, "We were misguided and lured with money by the Pakistan sponsored terrorists.
Now, we will start a new phase of life." |
