JMC releases strict orders against pending civil works

Jammu, Aug 23:Inspecting the constructions going on in the City in order to ascertain whether they are conforming to building plans approved by the Jammu Municipal Corporation or not, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation. S.C. Sawhney alongwith a team of officers comprising Joint Commissioner (Adm), Chief Enforcement Officer, Building Officer, surveyors and field staff of Enforcement Wing undertook an extensive tour of Jammu city viz Bakshi Nagar, Akhnoor Road, Tope Sherkhania, Gandhi Nagar, Nanak Nagar, Trikuta Nagar Ext., Marble Market, Deeli, Thangar, and Channi Himmat area.
At Akhnoor road two constructions were found going on which were not in accordance with the Building Plans approved by the JMC, as such the equipments used for the construction were confiscated and the works were got stopped on spot and warning was issued to the concerned Enforcement Inspector. Kuldeep Raj to be vigilant in future otherwise strict action will be taken against him. Some more illegal construction going on in Gandhi Nagar and Nanak Nagar were found for which the instruction have been issued to the Building Section to check the constructions on spot and furnish a detailed report of violations committed by them and intimate to this office so that action as admissible under rules can be initiated against the violators. Some flats being raised under Group Housing Scheme by the private builders at Topesherkhania, ext Trikuta Nagar, Deeli etc were also inspected and instructions were given to the building section to inspect the sites and work out the violations committed by these private builders. Further, the Jammu Municipal Corporation has appealed to the general public to refrain from making illegal constructions and get building plans whether commercial or residential approved from Jammu Municipal Corporation otherwise action as admissible under rule leading to demolition of the building will be taken.
