Plantation drive launched in GHSS Gho-Manasa | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 23: A plantation drive was launched in Government Higher Secondary School, Gho Manhasan premises here today to make it green and clean. In this drive, which was launched under the supervision of Principal P D Sharm,a about 100-150 saplings of different species were planted. Speaking on the occasion, P D Sharma said that with the each passing day, the air pollution is increasing which is affecting the health of the people. ‘By planting new plants and trees the pollution level can be checked and we may get oxygen in abundance, which is must for healthy mind and sound health’, he added. He said that every citizen should plant at least one tree so that the effect of global warming could be minimized. Rajinder Singh Chib ex-corporator, Hardeep Singh ex-corporator, Jaimal Ram ex-corporator, Gandharv Singh Retd lecturer, Mohan Lal Sharma, Bodh Raj, teacher and Pardeep Kumar besides students and staff of the school were also present on the occasion.
