Sprawling Buds holds Rakhi making contest | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, August 23: Sprawling Buds School, Laximpuram in Chinore organised a colourful function on the eve of Raksha Bhandan by involving young students in different activities at the school premises, here. Besides taking part in Rakhi making competition, girl students also tied Rakhis on the wrists of boys, who in turn presented gifts. Students were also involved in short skits showing historical evidences of Goddess Laxmi and Lord Krishna and Draupadi. Later in Rakhi making competition, students made beautiful Rakhis using thread, beads, sequins, cotton, sponge etc. Principal of the school, Puja Sharma also briefed students about the meaning and significance of the festival. Later, prizes were given away to the winners of the competition. In junior category, Sanidhya, Sohum and Aryan Chandel bagged first, second and third prize respectively. In sub-junior category, Anurag declared first while Tanish and Akshad got second and third prize respectively.
