Shirya Bhatt Mission hospital distribute relief | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 23: A medical tam of Shirya Bhatt hospital led by Dr.K.L Chouwdhary distributed disinfectants, chlorine tablets, eye drops skin ointment, lotions, , haemostatic, capsules among the camp inmates of Mishriwalla camp ravaged by floods an August 19; as per press release team observed that all the inmates of the camp have been directly or indirectly, impacted by the catastrophe. At present there is smell and stench in the locality which is rife with mosquitoes, flies and other vermin. The rooms are damp and smelling, dark and the bedding is still wading through the heavily contaminated flood waters has caused extensive skin infections allergies. Inmates of the affected segment of the camp are scratching, oozing pus and blood from the skin infections. A large number of them have also contracted a highly contagious eye infection. Beside there is a looming danger of the outbreak of water disease like cholera, gastroenteritis, typhoid, hepatitis, and insect borne disease like malarias and dengue fever because the flood water ran over the bund and through the public toilets and latrines nearby, spilling excreta on the ground and carrying it through the narrow lanes and along the drains inside the rooms. As per hand out Dr.Chowdhary will forward a full medial report to the government to shed its apathy towards the Kashmir refuges. The other members of the medical team were Virji Bhat, R.K.Pandita, Ramesh Raina, O.N Bhat, J.L Raina, Chandji Kak and Vinod Raina.
