DGP visits City Police Stations, reviews law & order situation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Aug 23: Director General of Police (DGP), Kuldeep Khoda today visited City police stations in Srinagar and Budgam to review prevailing law and order scenario in these areas. He stressed for better coordination among all the security agencies working in field to over come the situation effectively. Khoda, accompanied by Special DG (CRPF), Joint Director IB, senior officers of Police and CRPF visited City Police Stations of Nowhatta, Mahrajgunj and Humhama in District Budgam. He held meetings with the officers of police and CRPF to discuss the strategies for tackling the situation. Thread bare discussions were held with regard to prevailing situation in their jurisdictions. He was briefed by the concerned SHOs about the methods adopted to tackle the challenges. During the meetings suggestions were sought from the field officers for ensuring protection of lives of the people and public property. Deployment of manpower and drill of withdrawal was also discussed. DGP stressed for effective deployment while dealing with law and order situations in a area. He urged for minimum use of force to avoid loss of life and property. Appreciating the role of police and other security agencies, he asked for maintaining vigil on the activities of miscreants. He also stressed for better communication among various law enforcing agencies to yield good results. Recognizing his act of courage in saving the lives of people and public property, the DGP announced one rank promotion of a constable of police station Nowhatta. He asked the constabulary to keep up high the traditions of valour and commitment while tackling the emerging situations.
