ED asks unemployed youth to complete formalities for VSA

SRINAGAR, Aug 23:
Joint Director Employment Kashmir, has issued a notification wherein educated unemployed youth who have registered themselves in the District Employment and Counselling Centres (Employment Exchanges) up to December 05, 2009 have been informed to contact Deputy Director /Assistance Director Employment of the concerned District for completion of formalities for Voluntary Service Allowance.
As per the notification, those who have attained the age of 26 years on January Ist,2010 and are below the age of 37 years and are dependent upon a family, whose income does not exceed Rs1.5 lakh were asked to approach Counselling centres.

The Candidates should have passed matriculation by March 2010, however, the spouse of the married candidate should not be employed either in Government or Private sector. He must not be studying or engaged as a regular basis as a student, trainee or apprentice in any institution.
He should not be self employed nor he should have drawn any loan from any Government department etc. The candidate should not be a dismissed Govt. Employee nor should he be convicted for any offence.
The Matriculate candidate is entitled for Rs 600 per month while 10+2 passed candidate for Rs 650.
Similarly, 10+2 candidate with additional skills such as ITI and other equivalent qualification is entitled Rs 700 per month, while the same qualification holder with additional professional qualification from a recognised Polytechnic Institution for Rs 850. The graduates and below the post graduation candidates are entitled to Rs1000 per month, while post graduate, Engineering, medical graduates and equivalent in computer science, technology and education for Rs.1200 every month.
An additional amount of Rs 50 pm shall be admissible in favour of female candidates in all the above categories.
However, the candidates who have already completed all formalities or are getting VSA need not to apply.
