| “Corn Maize-Vision for India” seminar to be held on Aug 25 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 23:
A seminar on “Corn (Maize)-Vision for India” with special reference to Jammu division is to be held by the Department of Agriculture, Jammu at SKUAST-Jammu, Chattha campus on August 25.
The programme will be inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu and attended by the national maize scientists, concerned officers and scientists of the Department of Agriculture, Jammu and SKUAST-Jammu.
The aim of the seminar is to devise strategies for increasing maize productivity and explore avenues for post harvest management and marketing. Interventions by M/s Monsanto India Ltd from private sector through “project rainbow” shall also be deliberated upon with the aim to boost maize production and enhance farmer’s income in the region.
