| Vikar condemns police action on Cong Youth Rally | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, AUG 24: National General Secretary, All India Youth Congress and legislator from Banihal, Vikar Rasool has strongly condemned the police lathicharge on peaceful rally of youth congress.
While condemning the action of the police on peaceful protestors, he said that the incident which took place yesterday at Jammu is most unfortunate and condemnable.
The police had resorted to lathicharge on a peace march organised by the activists of Indian Youth Congress for Kashmir situation and Leh tragedy wherein dozens of activists were injured and many others were arrested yesterday.
While questioning the working of Jammu police, Gen Secy AIYC ridivculed the police action on the peaceful youth rally. He has urged upon the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to intervene and order a thorough probe into the incident so that the culprits be brought to book.
