| State taekwondo team leaves for nationals | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, August 23: The 21-member state contingent today left for the 28th Sub-junior National Taekwondo Championship to be held at Guwahati in Assam from August 28. The state team is taking part in this event under the banner of J&K Taekwondo Association.
Earlier, before the announcement of the team, a 21-day coaching camp was organised by the Association.
Parveen Singh is accompanying the team as boys coach while Hawa Bee shall be girls coach. Mohd Ali has been made manager of the 21-member contingent. Atul Pangotra, a NIS diploma holder and international referee of WTF from the state, has been invited by the Federation as technical official of the Championship.
The Team: Boys: Aryan Gupta (21 kg); Vishwajeet Singh (25 kg); Bhaskar Gupta (27 kg); Aman Gupta (29 kg); Amit Kumar (35 kg); Neeraj Sharma (38 kg); Sanket Sharma (41 kg); Raghav Mehra (18 kg); Atul Bandral (50 kg). Girls: Asma Gul (18 kg); Manpreet Kour (20 kg); Rupali Devi (22 kg); Kashish (26 kg); Ambreen Fatima (29 kg); Sidika Charak (32 kg); Vidhi Sharma (35 kg); Namrita Katoch (38 kg); Kusum Manhas (41 kg); Vishal Arya.
